The High-Arm Physical Verification
Sit comfortably back in your chair with your spine resting against the lumbar support. Extend your arm straight in front of you. Your middle fingertip should just lightly touch the glass surface of your display. If your hand cannot reach the screen, or if you can touch it with your wrist, your monitor distance is miscalibrated.
The 20-20-20 Eye Strain Reset Protocol
To prevent Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) caused by ciliary muscle spasm: Every 20 minutes, look at an object at least 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds.

Frequently asked questions
- How high should my monitor be placed?
- The top of the monitor frame should align horizontally with your resting eye level when sitting upright. Your gaze should naturally angle downward by 15 to 20 degrees toward the center of the display.
- Why do ultrawide monitors require curved screens?
- On flat screens wider than 30 inches, the left and right corners sit further from your eyes than the center, forcing your optical lenses to constantly refocus. A 1000R or 1800R curve matches the human eye radius, equalizing focal distance across the entire panel.
